Joe Erceg has been a Southern Arizona resident since 1981 – residing for more than 15 years in Oro Valley.  He has since had successful careers in advertising & marketing, association management and business development. 


Passionate about working with amateur sports to the benefit of our community, Joe played important roles in founding the Grand Canyon State Games, McDonald's Western Wildcat Classic, Pima County Sports Authority and Southern Arizona Sports Development Corporation.  He has led corporate engagement efforts with the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl, Banner University Medicine El Tour de Tucson and FC Tucson.


Erceg has invested his time and talents with a host of professional and civic associations, is a graduate of Leadership Tucson and a Flinn-Brown Civic Leadership Academy Fellow.


After serving as the Arizona Small Business Association’s Southern Arizona director, he was named president/CEO of the Green Valley Sahuarita Chamber of Commerce.  There he was a driving force behind creation of the Az19 Regional Tourism Alliance and the Business Retention & Expansion (BRE) program.  


Joe raised his family in the town of Oro Valley where he served as a director on the Oro Valley Parks & Recreation Advisory Board.  He is a graduate of the town’s Community Academy and helped foster the Oro Valley Sports Alliance. 


As a member of Oro Valley’s Town Council, Joe is uniquely qualified to grow and expand Oro Valley’s business community and will be dedicated to champion opportunities for their success


Cedar Rapids, Iowa is Joe's hometown, but Oro Valley is, and will always be, his home.  He is married to Dalena, a paralegal and office manager at a local law firm, and is the proud father of four adult children, Sean, Alec, Madison and Morgan.  He is a Christian, was baptized at Casas Church and is a new member of Oro Valley Church of the Nazarene.
